I get the comparison, and agree that the new legislation is stillborn in its intended purpose. It's usefulness to my way of thinking is giving parents a structure to help them educate their kids on screen time, and in cracking the door to all governments putting some form of legislative guard rails on the tech bro's.

Today's internet is also a very different beast. The nature of the content, designed to stimulate addictive dopamine hits, and the many negative ways that shapes young (and older) minds, I believe is more damaging than just having access to content like porn was/is.

May we know we’ve been abandoned by the past, that the past has left us and moved on. So, too, have previous versions of our bodies left us, so, too, have previous iterations of the earth and its ecology left us.
