All strength with the move, and convenient cupboards at the other end

That and also a mansion bequeathed to mE by a kooky relative I never knew.

Good luck with your move! I can totally relate to your hatred of moving....and it's so expensive.

Not if I burn everything, Karola. Burn it all to dust.

Omg I had to laugh at this comment! I get the urge to just get rid of everything and swim with dolphins....dolphins are awesome!

The bonfire idea is lowkey tempting when facing a move. That escalation from "I'll pack boxes early" to "cramming items in a fugue state" the night before is painfully accurate. I've done the same spiral every single time and somehow still think next time will be differnet.

I’m still not convinced that this isn’t the best option.

My plan to never move again (10 times in 30 years with ‘collecting tendencies’ is my lifetime quota) is to die in the house and my kids can figure it out…or pile the stuff over me and 🔥

Just In Time packing: it's a thing. Go well and try to enjoy the crazed frenzy of Fitting It All In at the other end.

Ages ago, we had to move house after less than a year. It was really unfortunate, and I kid you not: it felt like a gut punch and a heartbreak at the same time. The process sucks. It’s taxing, demoralizing, annoying, emotional, physically demanding and at the end of the day… just fucking bitterly hard.

So, with that being said: I wish you well in the move, and if you need matches - I’ll gladly provide them.
